Meet Our Counselors

Meet the amazing and dedicated George Hall Elementary School wellness team! Students can reach out to their counselors for questions, guidance, and support.

School psychologists may provide support and consultation to teachers and parents of students experiencing learning and/or behavior problems. Students with an Individual Education Program who exhibit the need for a higher level of care may be recommended to receive Educationally-Related Mental Health Services. Please contact the SMFC Student Services Department for additional information or support at (650) 312-7341.

Hello George Hall Community,

My name is Amy Vang, and I am thrilled to be the school counselor at George Hall Elementary. I hold a Master’s in Counseling from California State University, Fresno, and it is an honor to work with your children.

My goal is to support our students in developing the social and emotional skills they need to thrive both in and out of the classroom and to help them become the best version of themselves.

Here are some of the supports available to all students:
- Wellness check-ins
- Individualized and group counseling
- Restorative Practices
- Connecting families with community resources
- Teaching the Social and Emotional Learning curriculum, Second Step

For more information on Second Step, please click here: https://www.secondstep.org/families

I look forward to working together to ensure a positive and successful experience for every student at George Hall Elementary.

Warm regards,

Amy Vang
